Marinated Tofu Appetizer

Mix the following in a pan. Bring to a boil, then simmer 2 minutes

  • ½ C water
  • 1 t oregano
  • 1 garlic
  • ¼ c olive oil
  • ¼ C sherry vinegar
  • ¼ c red wine
  • ¼ C soysauce
  • ¼ t salt

Remove from heat and add 16oz firm tofu, pressed and cut into small cubes.

Let marinate overnight in the refrigerator

Tips and ideas:

  • Chill well!
  • You can use any bottled or prepared Italian Style dressing instead.
  • Add other vegis, cherry tomatoes, black olives, blanched broccoli or cauliflower, sliced cucumbers, etc...
  • Serve as appetizer or side salad/relish in bowl or you can serve on skewers or toothpicks for a very pretty appetizer.
