Homemade Dessert Sauces and toppings
Quick and easy Rum sauce
- Mix premade vegan pudding.
- Add ¼ C rum
Substitute cream de mint, kahlua, or almost any liquor for the rum
Caramel sauce
- Mix
- 2 t cornstarch
- 1 C soymilk
- ½ t vanilla
- set aside…
- Place in heavy small saucepan Med heat.
- ¼ C sugar
- add 1 T water
- Do not stir til golden, about 10 minutes.
- Remove add milk mixture, stir til dissolved
- Back to heat, boil til thickens, remove,
- Pour into bowl to cool
Macadamia Coconut topping
- ½ C vegan Margarine
- 1 C b sugar
- ¼ C soymilk
- ¼ C macadamia nuts
- ½ C shredded coconut
- Mix, spread thin on sheet pan, (or directly on a cake) then broil golden
