Cholesterol Free Vegan Recipe

Fried Pies Makes around 10
Fruit Filling:
Combine in saucepan:
½ C sugar
1 T cornstarch
½ C water
2 C fresh or frozen berries, or apples
Bring to a boil, and boil 2 minutes.
Remove and cool.
Dough
Combine:
½ C oil
1/3 C plain soymilk
2 t vinegar
Mix dry ingredients:
2 C flour
¼ t baking soda
¼ t salt
Add to wet
 
Roll Flat, 1/8 Inch thick
Cut into 4 ½ inch circles.
Spoon 1 T of filling into center.
Fold over.
Seal edges with a fork
Fry in hot oil ¼ -1/2 inch deep
Fry both sides about 1 ½ minutes each until golden
