PERFECT RICE Every Time!

There are several types of rice, and all
require different cooking times and water.
I prefer a Calrose Rice which takes 1 1/4 cup water to every cup of rice.
And calls for 25 minutes of cooking.

Add 1/2 teaspoon salt to every cup of rice you use.
Bring water, salt, and rice to a boil.
Stir.
Cover tightly and reduce heat to the lowest setting.
Set timer for 22 minutes (or a couple minutes less than rice bag suggests.)
Turn off heat, but don't touch!
Set timer for 5 - 10 minutes more.
Then uncover and stir to fluff.


TIPS
Use a tightly covered pot that has at least three times the air space
of the amount of water and rice you put in.
Rice needs space to expand and steam.
Don't waste money on a rice cooker!
And don't waste water rinsing rice.....
