Homemade CARAMEL CORN and popcorn balls
Perfect CARAMEL CORN
- Heat in oven 250
- 12 C popcorn
- 3 C nuts (Optional)
- Boil 5 min
- 1 c br sugar
- ½ c corn syrup
- ½ c margarine
- ½ t salt
- Remove and Add:
- ½ t vanilla
- ½ t bs
- Pour over popcorn
- Bake 45 min stirring every 15
- Cool and break up into pieces if need be
Traditional Classic Homemade Popcorn balls
- Mix:
- 1 c sugar
- 1/3 c water
- 1/3 c corn syrup
- 1 t salt
- Cook 250 degrees (hard ball)
- Remove from heat
- add:
- ¼ c margarine
- 1 t vanilla
- Pour over 7 c popped popcorn
- and shape w/ greased hands
Caramel Corn or Popcorn Balls like cracker jacks
- Bring to a boil :
- 1 c sugar
- 1/3 c molasses
- 1/3 c water
- 1 t vinegar
- 2 T margarine
- add 2 C peanuts (Optional)
- Boil to hard ball (250 degrees)
- add:
- ½ t bs
- beat and pour over 10 C popcorn
- Shape into balls or break into bitesize pieces with greased hands
