Homemade CARAMEL CORN and popcorn balls


Perfect CARAMEL CORN

  • Heat in oven 250
  • 12 C popcorn
  • 3 C nuts (Optional)
  • Boil 5 min
  • 1 c br sugar
  • ½ c corn syrup
  • ½ c margarine
  • ½ t salt
  • Remove and Add:
  • ½ t vanilla
  • ½ t bs
  • Pour over popcorn
  • Bake 45 min stirring every 15
  • Cool and break up into pieces if need be

Traditional Classic Homemade Popcorn balls

  • Mix:
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1/3 c water
  • 1/3 c corn syrup
  • 1 t salt
  • Cook 250 degrees (hard ball)
  • Remove from heat
  • add:
  • ¼ c margarine
  • 1 t vanilla
  • Pour over 7 c popped popcorn
  • and shape w/ greased hands



Caramel Corn or Popcorn Balls like cracker jacks

  • Bring to a boil :
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1/3 c molasses
  • 1/3 c water
  • 1 t vinegar
  • 2 T margarine
  • add 2 C peanuts (Optional)
  • Boil to hard ball (250 degrees)
  • add:
  • ½ t bs
  • beat and pour over 10 C popcorn
  • Shape into balls or break into bitesize pieces with greased hands
