Cholesterol Free Vegan Recipe

Spiced Peanuts
Heat 1 T oil.
Add: 2 t chili powder
2 t cumin
2 t sugar
1 t curry powder
1 t garlic powder
¼ t cayenne
Stirring 30 seconds
Add: 2 ½ C dry roasted peanuts
Stirring well About 2 minutes.
Remove and pour onto jelly roll pan.
Bake 300 around 15 minutes, stirring often.
Sprinke with a little salt. Cool.

Sweet and spicy Chickpeas

Mix: 3 T oil
3 T sugar
2 t course salt
2 t cumin
1 t crushed red pepper
1 t garlic powder

Toss with:
2 C canned/ drained/rinsed chickpeas (garbonzos)

Bake 400 30 minutes stir after each 10.

Homemade Smoked Almonds
Mix: 2 T oil
4 t water
1 t liquid smoke
Pour over 2 C raw almonds
Sit overnight.
Bake 300 40 minutes, stirring often

Spicey Chickpeas
Mix:
¼ c oil
1 t course salt
1 t cumin
1 t pepper
½ t cayenne pepper
Toss in:
2 cans chickpeas
Bake 20 minutes. Stir. Bake 12 minutes more.
