Basic Brown Rice
1 C rice
2 c water
½ t salt
cover boil simmer 45-50 min

 
Brown Rice Pilaf
Saute:
¼ c onion
½ t garlic
Add rest:
2 C B rice
2 2/3 c water
2 ¼ c broth
pepper
2 bay leaves
2 T parsley
½ t thyme
¾ t salt
boil/simmer
45-50

Brown rice casserole
Saute:
¼ # butter
1 onion
3 garlic
1 bell pepper
Add/toast
1 C brown rice
mix in:
1 can mushrooms
Put all in casserole w/
1 c broth
¾ c water
Cover Bake 350 1 hour
