Southern Raised Biscuits About 20

Proof: 1 yeast in

½ C water

Mix: 1 C soymilk

1 T vinegar

Sit 5 minutes then add:

2 T sugar

Combine yeast water and milk mixture together


Mix: 4 C flour

2 t Baking powder

1 t salt

Cut into

½ C Crisco or shortning

Make well in center and pour in liquid.

Blend gently.

Roll out ½ " thick.

Cut shapes. And place on greased cookie sheet.

Cover and rise about 30 -45 minutes

400 degrees 10-12 minutes

Remove from oven and Brush with margarine.
