Classic Homemade Chocolate Syrup


Chocolate Syrup

  • 1/2 Cup Cocoa
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Cup Water
  • dash Salt
  • 1 1/2 t cornstarch
  • Mix all in small sauce pan
  • Bring to a boil
  • Boil for 1 minute.
  • Remove from heat
  • Add 1 t vanilla.
  • Store in refrigerator.

Tips and ideas:

  • Substitute Mint flavor or Almond etc.. for the vanilla
  • Great for making Chocolate Milk (non dairy of course)
  • or on Desserts/vegan Icecreams...
  • A dipper sauce for Fondues/Bananas/Waffles/Strawberries
