Classic Homemade VEGAN Caramels
Vegan Caramels
- melt:
- 1 c vegan butter, or high fat vegan margarine
- Add:
- 2 ΒΌ c br sugar
- dash salt
- 1 c corn syrup
- 24 oz vegan sw cond milk
- heat til boils
- reduce heat and cook /stir til 245 on candy thermometer
- remove from heat
- Add:
- 1 t vanilla
- pour into greased 9x9
- fridge overnight
- stand at room temp 30 min
- cut and wrap

Tips and ideas:
- For Chocolate caramels add:
- 2 sq unsweetened choc w/ milk or 6 T cocoa and 2 T oil.
