Vegan HOME MADE Bean Burger Recipes
BASIC Easy Bean Burger
- 1 C Refried Beans (or mash canned beans)
- 1 C leftover brown rice
- Mix and form into patties, fry
- ADD some options and really make it yours!
- chopped onions
- grated carrot, mushrooms, sweet potatos
- oats, cracker crumbs, nuts, seeds...
- a splash of balsamic vinegar, soy sauce,
- MY FAVORITE is adding chopped onions, sweet potatoes, and sunflower seeds
Black Bean Burgers
- 3 C black beans
- 2 T flax seeds, ground
- 2 T sesame seeds, ground
- 1/4 C walnuts, ground
- 1/2 c finely grated carrot
- 1 T soy sauce
- 1 T H2O
- 1/4 T salt
- 1 t basil
- 1 t onion powder
- 1/2 t pepper
- 1/2 t cayenne
- 1 t oregano
- Instructions
- Mash all together
- Form into Patties and fry
Bean and lentil Burger
- Saute
- 1 T oil
- 1 small onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- add to
- 1 t basil
- 1 t salt and 1/2 t pepper
- 1 Can red beans
- 1 can white beans
- 1 c cooked lentils
- 1 c cooked brown rice
- 1 T soy sauce
- 2 T flour
- Mash together well, or process chunky / smooth
- Form into patties
- Press one side in sesame seeds
- Fry plain side first until brown/flip fry
Black Bean Burgers with Oats
- 1 16 oz Can black beans
- 1/2 c uncooked regular oats
- 1/2 small finely diced onion
- 1 jalapeno pepper (optional) seeded and finely diced
- 1 T oil
- 2T nutritional yeast
- 1/2 t salt
- Dredge mix:
- 2 T flour
- 2 T cornmeal
- Instructions
- Mash beans and add remaining burger ingredients
- Form into 4 patties
- Dredge in flour/cornstarch
- Fry in hot oil about 5 minutes each side
- Serve on buns
