Recipes.
Hawaiian Guava BBQ
- 1 C guava
- 1/4 C lemon juice
- 2 T tomato paste (or 1/4 C ketchup)
- 1/4 C brown sugar
- 1 t ginger, cumin, dry mustard
- 1 T soy sauce
- 1 T molasses
- 1/4 C vinegar
- 1/4 C whiskey, beer or sherry ?? (optional)
- Mix and heat low, 30+ min
Japanese easy BBQ sauce
- Mix
- 1/4 C ketchup
- 2 T vegan worcestershire
- 1 T soy sauce
- 1 t dijon
Onion wine BBQ Sauce
- Saute
- 2 T oil
- 2 onions
- When translucent add:
- ½ C wine
- ½ C chili sauce
- 3 T vinegar
- 1 t Worcestershire
- ½ t dry mustard
- ½ t chili powder
- Boil/simmer 30 min
Lighter GLAZES
Balsamic Glaze:
- 1 C water
- 1 C balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 c br sugar
- Boil 15 min.
- Brush on and grill
Mustard glaze
- 1/2 c dijan
- 1/2 c red wine vinegar
- 1 t spice rub
- 1/8 t cayenne
Berry glaze
- 2 C berries
- 1/2 c ketchup
- 1/4 c bourbon
- 2 T br sugar
- 1 1/2 T soy sauce
- 1 t spice rub
- 1/8t cayenne
- Boil simmer 10 strain.
Lime glaze
- 2/3 c lime juice
- 1/3 c ketchup
- 1/4 c br sugar
- 1 t salt
Spicy orange
- 2/3 c orange marmalade
- 1/3 c cider vinegar
- 1 - 2 T sriracha or ?
- 1/2 t salt
Asian coconut glaze
- 2/3 c soysauce
- 1/3 c real coconut milk
- 3 T rice vinegar
- 1/2 t pepper
