Spring roll Recipes.
Traditional Spring roll dipping sauce
- Bring to a boil then/simmer 10 min:
- 1/2 C sugar
- 1/2 C water
- Remove, add:
- 1/4 C vinegar
- 1/2 t salt
- 1 t garlic
- 1 red chili or sriracha to taste
- 1 t ginger
- 2 t sesame oil
Top with crushed peanuts and shredded carrots
I quadruple this recipe and use it for salad dressing, with fried tofu/lettuce/peanuts
Lime soy Spring roll sauce
- 1/2 C lime juice
- 1/4 C sugar
- 3 T soy sauce
- 1 T rice vinegar
- 1 T cilantro
- 2 garlic
- 1 t chili
Easy Hot n sweet dipping sauce
- 1 C apricot jam
- 1/3 C vinegar
- 2 T soy sauce
- 1/2 t crushed red pepper
Sesame soy PB Spring roll sauce
- 1/4 C soy sauce
- 1/2 C rice vinegar
- 1/2 C broth
- 2 T ginger root
- crushed red pepper
- 1/4 C peanut butter
- 2 T brown sugar
- 2 t cornstarch in 1 T water
- heat thick, add 1/4 C sesame oil
Lime dipping sauce (spring rolls, chix)
- 1/3 C lime juice
- 1/3 C sesame oil
- 1 T rice vinegar
- 2 T water
- 1 t soy sauce
- 2 T sugar
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 t ginger root
- 1/4 C scallions
- 1/4 C cilantro
- Few drops hot sauce (optional)
- Combine and heat a couple minutes for sugar to disolve.
- Cool

Tips and ideas:
Almost any sauce can be used.
ALso can be used for tempura, chix, etc...
